    DIRECTIONS

  • Mix together cocoa, sugars, and salt.
  • Add cream, corn syrup, and butter.
  • Bring to boiling point while stirring. Then reduce heat and boil gently until mixture reaches soft ball stage (about 17 minutes all together).
  • Remove from heat, and add vanilla.
  • Place saucepan in cold water for 5 minutes (do not mix while in water).
  • Remove saucepan from water, and beat until mixture thickens and loses its glossy appearance (about 7 minutes).
