Aldi

Savour Bakes Bread Sticks

Athenian Family Bakery is recalling a bread sticks product as it poses a health risk to consumers.

The food item, which is only sold in Aldi stores, may contain small pieces of metal.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) website states: “Athenian Family Bakery is recalling Savour Bakes Bread Sticks because they may contain small pieces of metal.

“The possible presence of metal makes this product unsafe to eat.”

The affected packs are 125 grams with the batch codes 704888 and 49830. All date codes are being recalled.

Aldi has released point-of-sale notices that will be put up in stores with more information for customers.

They read: “Our supplier, Athenian Family Bakery, is recalling this product as it may contain small pieces of metal.

“Customers are asked to return this product to the nearest store, where a full refund will be given.”

Sainsbury’s

Fry’s Mushroom Country Style Pie

Fry’s Family Foods issued a warning on the product as it contains milk, chicken and ham not listed on the label.

This makes it unsuitable for those who avoid eating meat or with a milk intolerance.

The FSA website added: “Fry’s Family Foods is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.

“The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.

“These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.”

Plant Pioneers Vegan Shroomballs

The food item is also being recalled as some packs may contain plastic, causing a safety risk.

Customers should check their cupboards for 240 gram packs with the all use by dates between June 3 and 6, 2020.

Both products can be returned to Sainsbury’s stores if making an essential shopping trip.
