Costa Coffee’s 50p drink promotion is to celebrate the popular chains anniversary. Ending tomorrow, customers can pick up handcrafted Iced Coffee, Iced Tea or Cold Brew for just 50p a drink. However, some coffee lovers have noticed that when you sign up to the app, you can claim two free drinks.
Costa Coffee’s loyalty card allows customers to collect points every time they make a purchase.
Every five points are worth £1 that customers can spend on anything in store.
Exclusive bonus offers are also a perk of the app, with the chance to win extra points on purchases.
Customers can join the club by picking up a card in store or signing up online via the App Store or Google Play store.
When signing up to the app, coffee lovers are rewarded with a free £1 when registered.
This equates to 100 welcome points.
Customers can use these 100 points to claim two free 50p iced drinks while Costa Coffee is running its anniversary promotion.
Taking to social media to share their excitement, one coffee fan said: “I just found out that signing up to the app gives you free points which can be used to get drinks.

You must be quick signing up to the app though as the 50p promotion ends tomorrow.
In other news, Costa also recently launched its summer menu which is packed with sweet treats and includes a KitKat muffin.
The coffee chain added 10 new items to its range, including a KitKat muffin, a lemon swirl cheesecake, and an array of fresh salads.
The KitKat muffin costs £2.25 and follows the success of Costa’s other branded muffins over the past few years.
Costa’s lemon swirl cheesecake is priced at £3.
For savoury options there is a chicken and bacon Caesar salad available as well as a Greek feta and quinoa salad.
From May 17, Costa will be opening its doors for customers to be able to dine inside.
This comes as part of the next stage of the roadmap out of lockdown.
Rival coffee chain Pret a Manger also recently launched its spring menu as it added three new items for customers to pick up.
The new additions include Falafel, Avocado and Chipotle Flatbread and Chicken Pesto and Rocket Flatbread.
They’re also adding new salad bowls in addition to its existing range.
In addition, the chain is now adding three new snack options to the subscription – Popcorn bar, Nut bar and Coconut bar.
The coffee subscription allows customers to redeem five coffees a day for £20 per month.
