If there was ever a nationwide restaurant brand whose reputation and business model is based almost entirely on dining in, you could make a strong case that it’s Cracker Barrel. The country store-themed outpost known for serving southern-style comfort food is pretty much a “you have to be there” kind of operation, which certainly isn’t a great business model in the midst of pandemic.
Well if you have a hankering for meatloaf from a restaurant with a gift shop but you’re afraid to leave home, today’s your lucky day. Thanks to a new partnership with DoorDash, you can now get food items from Cracker Barrel delivered right to your home when you order via the DoorDash app. Though Cracker Barrel has its own proprietary app that can be used to place to-go orders, this marks the first time they’ve partnered with a major delivery platform.

To mark this truly historic occasion, DoorDash is offering a half-off deal for Cracker Barrel’s Family Meal Baskets To-Go. These massive meal packages include options like Meatloaf, Chicken n’ Dumplins, Sunday Homestyle Chicken, and All-Day Pancake Breakfast, serving up enough entrees and sides to constitute a big home-cooked meal without the actual cooking at home.
On top of that, DoorDash is offering $0 delivery on Cracker Barrel meals for a limited time. All you have to do is be one of the first 1,000 Cracker-heads who places an order on or after April 30. Hopefully that should fill the meatloaf-shaped hole in your life until the strip malls and highway rest stops of this great country can be safely accessed once again.
