Four-ingredient air fryer omelette recipe is perfect for breakfast

Egg omelettes are one of the most basic cooked breakfast ingredients, packed with both protein and flavour.

While they’re a cheap and filling option for a morning meal, achieving the perfect texture can put people off cooking them.

But for those with an air fryer, it’s easy to get omelettes spot on every time.

Sharing her simple recipe on the food blog Melanie Cooks, Melanie Mendelson said: “This omelette is a breeze to make.

“The best part is, you don’t even need to flip an omelette when you cook it in the air fryer!”

For this recipe to work, a small pan that fits inside the basket of the air fryer is essential.

Start by spraying the pan with some cooking spray to prevent the omelette from sticking, or brush with a few drops of oil.

Place the pan inside the air fryer and set aside before preparing the ingredients.

To do this, crack the eggs into a mixing bowl and add the milk.

Whisk until smooth before sprinkling in some salt and pepper. This should be to taste, so quantities may vary.

Continue to stir until the eggs while pouring in the cheese. Once combined, the mixture is ready to transfer into the pan.

Once evenly spread in the pan, set the fryer to 190C and cook for six minutes.

Melanie said: “When done, carefully remove the pan from the air fryer basket. You might want to let it cool for a minute as it will be very hot.”
