Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons new rules for shoppers
Many Britons have changed how they shop during the coronavirus lockdown.
For some vulnerable and elderly customers, getting to the shops has been more difficult to do with social distancing measures.
To help, Morrisons has launched a number of delivery options.
30 minute delivery
The supermarket chain partnered up with Deliveroo to offer home delivery of essential food items within 30 minutes.
Morrisons website states: “Both Morrisons and Deliveroo want to play their full part in feeding the nation during this very difficult and uncertain period.
“This is a new service that will allow customers to order from a range of essentials delivered to their door, on-demand, by a Deliveroo rider in as little as under 30 minutes.”
With this scheme, shoppers are able to order essential items from around 130 Morrisons participating stores in the UK.
When the partnership was announced in April, customers could choose from a list of 70 essential items including meat, fruit and household products.
This week, the supermarket giant announced more products have been added to the list.
It posted on Twitter: “More groceries are now available to order from Morrisons for delivery in as little 30 minutes through the Deliveroo app.”
Essential Food Boxes
The supermarket giant introduced a range of food boxes to suit different dietary requirements and occasions.
Shoppers can choose from options including Meat Essential Box, Family Meat Box, Gluten Free Box and British Food Box.
