Supermarkets have been coming up with new ways to feed the nation during lockdown, with many launching essential food boxes in recent months. The food delivery boxes are designed to fill fridges and cupboards while shoppers are unable to head to stores or get an online slot – but now brands are creating more exciting boxes to keep customers happy. Morrisons’ latest launch is for two boxes that help you to recreate a takeaway at home for a snip of the price.

With restaurants closed around the country due to the pandemic and some only offering limited menus for takeaway, the supermarket alternatives are sure to be popular, especially with cash-strapped shoppers.
The new Market Kitchen food boxes cost just £30 including delivery, making them much cheaper than your local takeaway.
The two options are designed to give customers a copycat version of some of their favourite takeaway dishes, from peri-peri chicken to pad Thais and curries.
Both boxes are now available to order online, and include eight dishes each.

At £30 a box including delivery, it works out as just £3.75 per meal – which is much cheaper than ordering from your local takeout place.
Hannah Munns, Head of Market Street at Morrisons said: “These new food boxes offer our customers the chance to still enjoy their favourite high-street eats at home.
“They’ve been created using authentic recipes and good ingredients. We hope they’ll go some way to satisfying our cravings for some of our favourite takeaways.”
The hassle-free ready meals need no extra ingredients and are quick and easy to cook.
