While Christmas might seem far off for some people, Pret-A-Manger is officially in the festive mood and has announced this year’s Christmas menu. According to the chain, customers can expect to see the return of festive favourites like the Christmas Lunch Sandwich, Brie & Cranberry Baguette and Pigs in Blankets Hot Roll. Alongside the menu’s returning favourites, Pret has also introduced new items for the festive season, each with a “Pret twist”.

As Katherine Bagshawe, UK food and coffee director at Pret, said: “Christmas is a very exciting time for us as we look to develop new and exciting products, we know our customers will love. We spend months researching trends, flavour profiles and working with our suppliers to get the best and freshest ingredients to help give Pret the Christmas food edge.

“We’re excited to bring even more extra special recipes to Pret fans this Christmas – our menu is more generous and more festive than ever before with something for everyone to enjoy throughout the day. It wouldn’t be Christmas without our famous Christmas Lunch Sandwich and some innovative new products. We can’t wait to see everyone’s reactions once they try the menu.”

The Christmas Lunch Sandwich includes British turkey, with port and orange cranberry sauce, herby pork stuffing, baby spinach leaves and finished with a dab of mayonnaise and Pret’s crispy onions. As with previous menu items, 50p from this sandwich will be donated to The Pret foundation, helping to tackle hunger, poverty and homelessness in the UK.

The Christmas Lunch Baguette and beloved Brie & Cranberry Baguette are also back, as is the Pigs in Blankets Hot Roll.

In exciting news, there is also the addition of new festive sweet treats such as the Chocolate Orange Mini Loaf, as well as new additions in the hot section, namely a meatier Boxing Day Toastie which contains Cheddar cheese, British turkey, pulled British ham, and herby pork stuffing, finished with a dollop of caramelised onion chutney and sage mayo. There is also the an all-new Hog Roast Macaroni Cheese.

Plant-based, flexi or veggie customers will be excited to know that there are plenty of seasonal offerings for them too. The menu for the season includes a new vegan sandwich – the Festive Falafel & Squash – as well as a vegan-friendly twist on a festive classic, the Beet Wellington Baguette.

For those wanting a hot drink in the cold weather, Pret will have three new seasonal hot drinks – all of which are included on Pret’s Coffee Subscription allowing for five barista-made drinks a day with the first month half price for new subscribers (£12.50). Returning to the menu is the Gingerbread Latte, which will be joined by the new Praline Latte.

It should also be noted that any Pret Coffee Subscriber can spread the festive spirit with 1 free hot drink redemption per week for a non-subscriber friend or family member from November 15 while supplies last.

All seasonal items will be available in Pret shops nationwide from November 2 until the end of December, while supply lasts and will be available to purchase for delivery through Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat. Pret’s beloved Christmas Lunch Sandwich will be exclusively available on Deliveroo.

As usual, Pret-A-Manger will be donating 50p from the sale of each Christmas Lunch Sandwich, Vegan Festive Falafel & Squash Sandwich and Hog Roast Macaroni Cheese to The Pret Foundation.

Committed to helping break the cycle of homelessness, hunger and poverty, The Pret Foundation works with charities and shelters in communities local to Pret shops to donate unsold, freshly made Pret food to those who need it most, they provide employment and training opportunities through the Rising Stars programme and give financial grants to grassroots charities tackling homelessness.

Last year, The Pret Foundation donated 6 million food items globally and with the 50p donation from these three Christmas items, they’ll be able to support more people at a time when it’s most needed.
