Oh, how we love Halo Top. Ever since the low-calorie, high-protein brand launched in 2012, we feel a lot better about downing a pint of ice cream in one sitting—it’s basically a salad, right?
That’s why we’re thrilled to report that the company has partnered with Subway to test hand-spun Halo Top milkshakes at 1,000 locations across the U.S.
The shakes will come in three low-calorie varieties: Vanilla Bean, Chocolate, and Strawberry. The best part? Each milkshake will have 350 calories (or less), 20 grams of protein, and 30 percent of the recommended daily value of calcium.
"We are passionate about creating delicious new menu items for our guests that can't be found anywhere else. We share Halo Top's values that taste does not need to be sacrificed to create better-for-you options," Len Van Popering, Subway's Chief Brand and Innovation Officer, said in a press release. "We are excited to bring this popular brand to our guests in a never-before-seen way that we know they will love."
The Halo Top milkshakes will be available beginning July 22 through September 4 at Subway franchises in six test markets: Colorado Springs, Colorado; Hartford, Connecticut; Longview and Tyler, Texas; Salt Lake City, Utah; Toledo, Ohio; and West Palm Beach, Florida.
