There are several products currently being recalled from several supermarkets. These food items should not be consumed because there is an allergy or health risk, and instead, returned to the shop they were bought from to get a full refund. Here are the following items being recalled off shelves.
John West Boneless Sardines in Sunflower Oil
Pack size: 95g

John West has issued a food recall notice for customers, and The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has released a risk statement: “These products may contain microbiological contamination and could be unsafe to eat.”
“If you have bought either of the above products do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.
“If you have any questions or concerns, please contact [email protected].”
This product is stocked in several supermarkets including Tesco, Morrisons and Waitrose.
Dolmio Carbonara Pasta Sauce Pouch
Pack size: 150g
Best before dates: February 28, 2023 and March 1, 2023
The FSA’s statement said, “these products contain soya making them a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to soya”.
Again, if customers had bought the sauces, “and have an allergy to soya” they are not to eat them.
“Instead, please contact the Dolmio customer care line on 0800 952 1234 (UK) or 1890 812 315 (Northern Ireland) for a full refund or return to the store for a full refund.”
Aldi Primula Spicy Cheese N Jalapeno
Pack size: 140g
Best before date: Feburary 7, 2023
Aldi is recalling Primula Spicy Cheese N Jalapeno because of a temperature control issue that could potentially spoil the product, which may be unsafe to eat.
Customers are asked to not consume the product if they have purchased it and to return it to the store for a full refund.

Sainsbury’s Cooked and Peeled Frozen Large King Prawns
Pack size: 180g
Best before dates: May 2023, June 2023, July 2023, August 2023, September 2023, and October 2023

As for why the product is being recalled, Sainsbury’s has said there is a “possible presence of undercooked prawns” in the packs which “may make this product unsafe to eat”.
Points of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products, and these notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
The FSA explained: “If you have bought any of the above products do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund. If you have any questions or concerns, please visit Sainsbury’s website at Sainsburys.co.uk/help or contact their care line on 0800636262.”
Waitrose Frozen Cooked and Peeled Jumbo King Prawns

Best before dates: All date codes up to and including June 2023

The supermarket said there is a “possible presence of raw, uncooked prawns in the products listed above”.

Batch code: L 090 2 (the affected batch was manufactured between 15:07 and 18:24)
Best before date: December 31, 2022
The FSA issued a risk statement: “This product contains oats (gluten) making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to gluten.”
Customers are asked to return the product to store for a full refund.

Ben & Jerry’s Moo-phoria™ Peanut Butter Cookie Dough

Ben & Jerry’s is recalling one batch of Ben & Jerry’s Moo-phoria™ Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Ice Cream sold at Sainsbury’s because the product “contains peanuts making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts”.
Co-op Chilli and Lime Protein Crunch

Best before: August 15, 2022, September 5, 2022 and September 26, 2022
The product “contains milk making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents”.
