Food Network Star Kerry Vincent Has Died At 75

Food Network star and renowned cake designer Kerry Vincent died on January 2 at age 75 of an illness.
The announcement was made via a Facebook post from the Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show, an organization of which she was a co-founder. The post did not give an explicit cause of death, but it mentioned that she was suffering from an illness that she did not choose to make public.
Kerry is originally from Wyalkatchem in Western Australia but lived in Tulsa, OK, with her husband Doug, who survives her. She wore many hats as a baker, cake decorator, and TV personality. As Variety pointed out, she was often known as the “Queen of Cakes” and was a highly decorated sugar artist.
She founded the Grand National Wedding Cake Competition, served as a judge on Food Network Challenge from 2006-2012, hosted Save My Bakery in 2014, and appeared as a judge on The Great Australian Bake Off, just to name a few. She was also inducted into the International Cake Exploration Societé Hall of Fame in 2004, and the Dessert Professional Hall of Fame in 2010.
