Meghan Markle Will Make Her Own Baby Food, Sources Say

Markle, who is due any day now, hasn’t been shy about sharing her royal baby bump with the world. However, now that she’s on maternity leave she’s reportedly in full nesting mode, preparing her home — Frogmore Cottage — for her impending bundle of joy. And that apparently includes making her own baby food and only using all-natural cleaning products.

“She’s being mindful of what she puts in her body and on her skin and even her at-home cleaning supplies,” an unnamed childhood friend of Markle’s told People. “She’s hyper-aware of what she’s using. She’s looking for natural things.”

According to the pal, Meghan is already thinking about what she’ll prepare for her child and will likely be making her own baby food. She’s even apparently being stricter with what she eats before the baby arrives too.

“It’s going to be clean living for this baby,” the friend added.

Beyond food, Meghan and Harry have reportedly consciously decided to raise their child in a gender-neutral landscape.

“They’ve decided not to find out the sex,” royal reporter Katie Nicholl shared with ET. “But, according to sources who are helping with [their new home] renovations, the nursery itself is going to be very modern. Don’t expect to see any baby pink or baby blue. Apparently, it’s going to be a monochrome palette—whites and grays, I’m told, will be the color theme for baby Sussex’s nursery.”

However, as any soon-to-be-parent can tell you, renovations on a nursery, let alone an entire house, can take serious time. According to reports, the renovations to turn Frogmore Cottage into an eco- and family-friendly haven have been seriously delayed, which means the pair will likely not be able to move in until days before Meghan’s due date. But, at least this will give her plenty of time to prepare jars of homemade baby food and all the natural cleaning products she wants. And, even with all the stress, the Duke and Duchess are reportedly handling it all just fine. According to her childhood friend, “This is a very happy time for Meghan and Harry. This baby has brought them even closer.”
