This Girl Is Going Viral Online For A Clip Showing Her Voting Early With A Dunkin’ Coffee

The latest viral sensation to get her 15 minutes of fame is an impassioned voter who was interviewed for a news package for a local station in Boston. The interviewee is making people laugh online with a quick clip that included her voting with a Dunkin’ coffee, which she lovingly called “Dunkies,” in the video.
A video showing the clip was recorded and posted on Twitter in a tweet that now has over 7,000 retweets and 40,000 likes. The tweet captioned it, “Boston will never not Boston as hard as it can and I love it so much.”

In the segment, 7 News was interviewing voters standing in line at Fenway Park about why they chose to vote early. The viral video features a young woman wearing a Boston-themed mask and a New England Patriots jersey while speaking to the camera and holding a cup from Dunkin’. In a report by BuzzFeed, her order is a medium iced coffee with blueberry and oat milk.
“I wanted to vote at Fenway because we’ve all been cooped up inside for a little bit and I got my Dunkies and I’m ready to vote for Joe Biden but I wish I was voting for Bernie Sanders but it’s a team sport,” she said in the clip.
People in the replies talked about how much they loved her attitude, with at least one person being a little confused about what she was saying since she spoke so quickly. “I don’t know what donkies she means but I like her attitude!” one person wrote, before someone else explained it to them: “It means she got her drink at Dunkin’ Donuts, which are at a 1 per square mile density in Massachusetts.”
There you have it folks: Dunkin’ will now and forever more be referred to as “Dunkies.” I don’t make the rules.
