Adele weight loss: How singer slimmed down by 7st following simple diet plan

Adele has been on a health and fitness kick over the past few years, losing an incredible seven stone in the process. The Somebody Like You singer has recently shared a snap of herself wearing a bikini top and patterned leggings as she recreated Notting Hill Carnival from her garden after the event was cancelled. The singer captioned the post: “Happy what would be Notting Hill Carnival my beloved London.”

Fans were quick to recognise her slimmer figure with many left wondering how she did it.

One fan wrote: “You just broke the internet,” while another one commented: “Finally a bikini pic! She looks amazing.”

Another commented: “Omg you look unrecognisable, you look amazing. Well done you! What an achievement.”

Adele has been working hard to transform her lifestyle with the Sirtfood diet being credited for her weight loss.

The Sirtfood diet is based on research of sirtuins, a group of seven proteins found in the body that have been shown to regulate a variety of functions, including boosting the metabolism and reducing inflammation.

The creators of the diet claim that eating sirtfoods help to activate this group of sirtuins, also known as skinny genes.

It is thought that sirtuins influence the body’s ability to burn fat, resulting in a seven pound weight loss a week while making muscle.

Foods allowed on the diet include green tea, dark chocolate, apples, blueberries and even red wine is encouraged in moderation.

The diet is split into two different phases that last a total of three weeks and then after this period it is recommended adding as many sirtfoods into your diet as possible.

Phase one lasts a total of seven days and involves a calorie restriction of 100kcal a day and lots of the famous sirtfood green juice that you have to make at home including fruit and veg rich in sirtfoods.

Sirtfood Green Juice:
• 75 grams (2.5 oz) kale
• 30 grams (1 oz) arugula (rocket)
• 5 grams parsley
• 2 celery sticks
• 1 cm (0.5 in) ginger
• half a green apple
• half a lemon
• half a teaspoon matcha green tea

This phase is intended to jump-start your weight loss and involves drinking three green juices per day plus one sirtfood rich meal.

Meal examples include miso-glazed tofu, the sirtfood omelette or a shrimp stir-fry with buckwheat noodles.

On days four to seven you can increase your calorie intake whilst drinking two green juices a day and two sirtfood rich meals, which are predominantly recipes from the creators diet book called ’The Sirtfood Diet’.

The second phase lasts for two weeks and this is known as the “maintenance” phase where there is no specific calorie limit.

Instead, slimmers should eat three meals a day, all rich in sirtfoods, whilst also drinking one green juice per day.

Additionally, you are encouraged to continue drinking the green juice every day.

Adele’s personal trainer Camila Goodis also revealed during an appearance on Lorraine that Adele has given up processed good, fizzy drinks and sugar to help her lose weight.

Adele also worked with her personal trainer to help her see results quicker through exercise. Exercising is an essential part of any weight loss journey and the NHS recommends around an hour per day.

It was revealed that Adele regularly enjoys pilates which is not only great for weight loss but also for relaxing.

However it is said that the popstar likes reformer pilates, a type of pilates that helps improve posture, flexibility and balance as well as a great weight loss strategy.

It is thought that reformer pilates helps you build lean muscle which can help you burn more calories throughout the day.

The Somebody Like You singer isn’t the only celebrity who likes this type of pilates as it is popular amongst others like Jennifer Aniston, Kate Winslet and Madonna too.
