The 173 women between the ages of 25 to 50 lost an extra 4.4 pounds over a year.

This study and the study on obese children found that drinking half a litre in water accounts for an extra 23 calories burnt.
If you keep this up all year, this equates to 17,000 calories and 4.4 pounds of fat burnt.
Some people believe that drinking cold water burns more calories than room temperature water.
They aren’t wrong, because several studies suggest this is true.
When you drink cold water, your body uses extra calories to warm the water up to body temperature.
Drinking lots of water also helps to fill you up, which in turn will encourage you to eat less.
