Gregg Wallace has opened up about his favourite fitness advice following his four stone weight loss. In conjunction with his new show, Gregg Wallace’s Big Weekends Away, he has also shared some of his favourite ways to stay healthy when travelling.
The MasterChef judge has been giving Britons holiday inspiration for when coronavirus travel restrictions are lifted.
In Gregg Wallace’s Big Weekend Away, which was filmed before the coronavirus lockdown, the TV personality visited stunning locations including Rome, York and Edinburgh.
In the latest episode, which airs tonight, Gregg can seen visiting the sites of the Scottish capital and sampling the local cuisine.
Not only is Gregg passionate about food and history – calling himself an “amateur historian” – he has opened up about his love of fitness in recent years.
The TV favourite has showcased his incredible transformation by sharing pictures on his social media accounts.
He regularly updates fans with his workout routine and best fitness advice.
In his latest series, Gregg travelled across the world to enjoy various city breaks and tried his hand at making local cuisine.
How did he manage to stay fit while doing this?
Speaking to Express.co.uk, the MasterChef judge stated eating treats is something he does in moderation.
“I don’t do it all the time,” Gregg explained. “And let me tell you, if you walk a lot, you burn off the calories.
“If you’re walking around all day, you can afford to be a little bit naughty.”
The TV chef will often give a glimpse of his workouts online and recently launched the online fitness service, ShowMe.Fit.
Detailing the programme on Instagram, he wrote: “I’m helping so many people to lose weight.
“I just show you how I did it – changing bad habits for good ones gradually – it’s ok to slip up – you still get there, being good most of the time is good enough!”
Those who sign up for the programme get access to healthy recipes and live workouts with Gregg himself.
The television favourite has been open about his transformation and previously revealed he had shed a staggering four stone.
Whether at home or abroad, Gregg explained exercising everyday is a top priority of his.
“I still exercise every day. I just feel sluggish if I don’t,” he continued.
“[When abroad] I normally get up, I put my gym kit on, find a quiet space in the hotel and exercise.
“A nice thing to do if you want to combine fitness with sightseeing is to get up in the morning, go out and jog for two minutes then walk for two minutes. You’ll cover miles and miles.”
Gregg Wallace’s Big Weekends Away airs tonight at 9pm on Channel 5
