Harry Melling has come a long way since he first found fame in 2001 when he played chubby little horror Dudley Dursley in the Harry Potter film franchise. Following the films, everyone around the world came to know him as Potter’s 11-year-old spoilt and overweight cousin with a permanent scowl on his face. But, now at the ripe age of 30, not only has Harry branched away from the world of Harry Potter but the actor is looking positively skinny and extremely happy after dropping an impressive 4st 5lb.

How did the actor manage to shed such a huge amount of weight and completely transform his image?
Melling has previously spoken out about his weight loss, telling the Telegraph in 2009 that he knew he had to make some changes if he wanted to pursue a career in acting.
He told the publication: “I was just starting drama school, and found I was moving around a lot.
“I also started to eat sensibly. The weight just dropped off. I went from 16st to 11st 5lb.

He added: “I can now shed the child-actor thing, like the fat, and start a new career, because no one sees me as Dudley.”
Although he revealed that when he was younger his weight would fluctuate, it wasn’t until he was 15 and played a fat old man in a play at the National Youth Theatre that he decided to lose the weight for good.
“I was doing a show at the National Youth Theatre, playing an old man. Before that, I had played fat clowns and I thought, ‘If I want to have the career I would like, I am going to have to lose weight.
“I was fat because I got bored easily and when I was bored I would eat,” he revealed.
“I was an active kid, I used to dance – yes, really – and I was sporty. But I liked eating.
“It was when I was playing this old fat dad I realised I didn’t want to play those roles for the rest of my life. So I started running; I suppose you could say it was a Forrest Gump moment, I just didn’t stop.
“I also started eating healthily and going to the gym.”
He revealed that except for when attending Harry Potter themed events, he is largely unrecognised by the public and he couldn’t be more thrilled about it.
“It’s a godsend,” he joked. “No one recognises me on the tube.”
It seems like that career of his has been doing well over the last decade or so, having not only landed a role in the 2018 Coen brothers film The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, but also starring in the H.G Wells classic sci-fi tale, “The War of Worlds” which kicks off tonight at 9pm on BBC One .

Another English actor looking fabulous after losing weight is Jacqueline Jossa.
The EastEnders and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star shed an incredible 1st 7lb using a specific diet plan.
Jacqueline has been revealed as one of the ten confirmed celebrities to head into the jungle this year.
Contestants on the show are only given basic food when in camp and they will often slim down as a result.
However, Jacqueline has already shed an impressive amount of weight and recently shared the diet plan she used.
She shed an impressive 1st 7lb in just 11 weeks after having her second child.
What did she eat?
Posting on Instagram, mum-of-two Jacqueline shared details of her weight loss journey and how having her children affected her weight.
She said: “Before I had Mia in between Ella and Mia I was the biggest I have ever been.
“Then I got pregnant and so I decided that I wanted to change as soon as I had Mia I thought I’m not going to let myself go.
“I thought I really want to get back to a comfortable weight where I feel good where I feel confident.
“And I’m still on my journey but I’m already feeling so much better I’ve lost a stone and a half.
“I do feel comfortable and I maybe want to lose a little bit more and I want to tone up as well. But I just feel so much better.”
The actress also explained she was back in size 10 clothing just five weeks after giving birth and she had used a milkshake diet.
