Joe Wicks, also known as The Body Coach, is a fitness expert who will often share diet and exercise advice online. He regularly posts online workouts that can be done at home and recently announced he will stream live PE lessons for children. The expert has previously shared his top tips for those trying to get into shape – what should you do?

When trying to slim the waistline, dieters should make two key changes, Joe told Express.co.uk.
He said: “My top tips came down to two simple things.
“Number one is regular home cooking, so focus on avoiding on processed food, deliveries and takeaways, just keep it simple and go back to basics and stick to home-cooked food.
“Number two is exercise. Regular home works out, if you can 15 to 20 minutes a day, wherever it may be – just to get your body moving, burning some energy.
“Be as active as you can throughout the day wherever possible, take the stairs. These little things all add up to your daily energy expenditure.”
What exercises can you do?
With many people working from home as a results of coronavirus, many slimmers will turn to at-home workouts.
The fitness star explained combining resistance training and cardio can give good results.
Joe added: “The exercise that can help with weight loss is a combination of both resistance training and cardio.
“So, I’m a big fan of body weight training in terms of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) stuff like press ups and squats and mountain climbers.
“But also, resistance training so things like pull ups, dumbbell squats and heavy kettlebell lunges, things that will get your legs and upper body working and maximising the time they’re exercising for.
“So yes, the combination of the two is so important.”
HIIT exercises involve doing intense moves for a short period of time to get the entire body working.

Those who can’t get to the gym can use body weight when building strength.
What diet plan is best?
While many will follow a strict diet plan when trying to tone their midriff, Joe explained there is no one perfect plan.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, the expert said cooking from scratch and controlling portion sizes are vital for staying slim.
“The truth is that there is no perfect diet plan for everyone,” Joe explained.
“I think it’s about your lifestyle and your preferences, what kind of food you enjoy, what works for you, keeps you happy and gives you energy as well.
“So some people really enjoy the ketogenic diet or the paleo diet or anything else – it just has to be sustainable.
“It’s about you focusing on cooking food you love and exercising regularly, and I wouldn’t say banning any food.
“I think with the things that you love, it’s just about being sensible with your portions, allowing yourself treats and not being too strict because then it can lead you falling off the wagon, so just try to be balanced with everything.”
