Maisie Smith, 19, had a role in EastEnders from 2008 to 2014, and again from 2018. She has been through an impressive fitness transformation.
The soap star will take part in the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing and has been hitting the gym in preparation.
Posting on Instagram, she will regularly share snaps of her working out while in the gym.
She recently opened up about her love of fitness and staying active.
“I’ll be honest, I love going to the gym,” she told New! magazine.
“It’s my happy place where I can work on myself. But in lockdown it was closed and I didn’t do one home workout. I just couldn’t be bothered.”
Like many Britons during lockdown, Maisie struggled with finding the motivation to stay fit.
However, the EastEnders favourite explained she has been back at the gym since they reopened in a bid to get fit before Strictly starts.
She continued: “I was tired. But as soon as the gyms opened again, I knew I was doing Strictly, and I’ve gone every single day to prepare.
“I know how hard it is and I want to be fit enough.”
Celebrities taking part in the BBC dance show can train as much as 10 hours a day so being in shape could make this easier.
While she regularly hits the gym now, Maisie first began her transformation in 2017.
She launched the online workout programme Results 4 Teens to help young people learn about fitness, mindset and nutrition.
“It all started with a couple of training sessions that I posted on Instagram which got hundreds of comments,” she told the Sun in 2017.
“It was then I realised that so many teens struggle with not only how to keep fit but also the confidence to join in group classes sometimes!”
Maisie has kept up her fitness journey and will share snaps online of her toned arms and six pack abs.
In a recent Instagram post, she showed off her slim body in a pink sports bra and black cycling shorts.
Fans of the soap star shared their appreciation by commenting on the post.
One wrote: “Literally opened Instagram for motivation just before I’m about to get out the car for the gym and this was the first post I saw. Yes now I’m motivated.”
Another added “she’s body goals,” while a third said “looking good Maisie.”
