Maisie Smith fitness: EastEnders star made key lifestyle change to tone six pack abs

Maisie Smith is set to take part in this year’s run of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. The EastEnders star has spoken about her fitness regime and shared details of her workout in the past.

Strictly Come Dancing returns for its 18th series this year, with the welcome show hitting screens on October 17.

It has been announced Maisie Smith will compete in the show and she is sure to already be busy training.

Strictly Come Dancing is known for having an intense training programme, with contestants training as much as seven days a week as the show progresses.

While training is tough, Maisie is no stranger to pushing herself physically.

The soap star first transformed her figure in 2017 when she launched the online workout programme Results 4 Teens.

The programme focused on helping young people learn about fitness, mindset and nutrition.

“I have always loved keeping active, especially with yoga,” she told The Sun in 2017.

“Last year I met Cecilia Harris (celebrity PT) on holiday in Spain and we got chatting about ways I could get stronger and fitter.

“It all started with a couple of training sessions that I posted on Instagram which got hundreds of comments.

“It was then I realised that so many teens struggle with not only how to keep fit but also the confidence to join in group classes sometimes!”

Since then, Maisie has continued her fitness journey and will share snaps of her six pack abs on Instagram.

She will regularly post insights to her fitness regime with updates from the gym.

Even during the coronavirus lockdown Maisie uploaded posts of her staying fit with home workouts using only dumbbells.

Last week, the EastEnders favourite posted a snap where she showed off her chiselled abs and toned legs.

Maisie flexed her muscles in a pink sports bra and black cycling shorts.

Fans quickly commented on her strong body and praised her fitness transformation.

One said: “You are literally my inspiration! Body goals!”

“Please drop the workout routine – goals,” another stated.

Another social media user commented “this is insane!” while another added “your figure is unreal.”
