Michelle Mone weight loss: How she shrank from size 22 to 10 and lost 8 stone

Michelle Mone revealed she gets confused for her daughter’s sister after losing a huge amount of weight on the ITV programme. She described being heavier as a “dark, lonely horrible space”.

Michelle lost eight stone, an incredible achievement.

The businesswoman lost the weight before her wedding, as many women aim to do.

She said on the programme: “It’s been 8st and one pound now.

“I was a size 22 and now I’m a size 10. We were getting married on May 2nd, that’s now postponed, and I was determined to fit in my dress.”

So how did Michelle achieve her transformation?

She explained: “I’ve taken on a full time nutritionist, a full time trainer. The reason I’ve done this is to help others.

“I was interested in the body and wellness and mental health.”

During lockdown Michelle has been working out three times a day.

She said: “We’ve been doing a lot outside because of the weather. We’ve been going for a 90min walk, a bit in the gym.”

Michelle sold 100 percent of the company Ultimo, which she founded, in 2014.

She launched the company in 1999 for £39 million.

The business woman is a Conservative peer and has an OBE.

As well as her business career Michelle has appeared on The Apprentice and Coleen’s Real Women.

Michelle had her first child at 18 years old.

Later she married Micheal Mone. The pair had three children before they separated in 2011.

Michelle is now engaged to businessman Doug Barrowman, as of Christmas.

Some have claimed the diet is the Sirtfood Diet. How does it work?

Nutritionist Aidan Goggins, co-author of The Sirtfood Diet explains: “For the first three days, you restrict calorie intake to 1,000 calories a day, which includes drinking three sirtfood green juices plus eating a sirtfood-rich meal and snacking on antioxidant sirtfood bites.

“For the last four days, you up the calorie intake to 1,500 calories a day by consuming two sirtfood-rich meals and two green juices, cutting out the bites.”
