Princess Eugenie weight loss: How did the royal slim down? Diet and fitness plan revealed

Princess Eugenie of York is the granddaughter of the Queen and she married her long-term partner, Jack Brooksbank, in October 2018. The royal looked incredible in her designer fit and flare dress and some speculated she could have followed a diet plan for the occasion. What has she said about diet and fitness?

Although it is unknown if Eugenie actually lost weight for her big day, she has opened up about her diet and fitness regime in the past.

Slimming is clearly in the family and Sarah Ferguson has spoken about her own weight loss journey. 

The Duchess of York said she changed her mindset towards food and began exercising more to drop four stone.

Speaking in 2016, Eugenie explained the importance of exercise and revealed what she likes to do to stay in shape.

She told Harper’s Bazaar: “I get up around 6:45 to start exercising by 7. I go to the park from 7 to 8. I do circuits – which I love because they’re quick – burpees, squat jumps, lunges, the whole lot.”

The royal enjoyed quick high intensity exercises and explained she favoured that over running.

The Princess will mix up workouts by adding in gym sessions as well.

“It’s much better, as I can’t run for a long time,” she added.

“Or I go with my best friend to this amazing, women-only gym called Grace Belgravia.”

Princess Eugenie said she complements her gruelling workouts with a healthy eating plan.

She revealed she enjoys trips to the healthy London restaurant, the Detox Kitchen, in Soho.

“For lunch, I walk over to the Detox Kitchen, which is right across Regent Street in Kingly Court,” the royal added.

“They do the best food, all healthy. There’s often a queue outside.

“I try to not eat at my desk because it’s good to go outside, especially in the summer, and it’s always fun to explore Soho.”

If she does drink, Eugenie will opt for healthier options and enjoys the low calories tipple, vodka and soda water.

She said: “My favourite drink is vodka soda with loads of lime. Can’t beat that.”

Princess Beatrice also appears to have lost weight over the years, does she follow a diet plan?

Beatrice’s personal trainer previously opened up about the healthy habits the royal had.

She explained the Princess would eat healthy meals and focused on outdoor workouts and circuit training.
