When losing weight, certain foods are eaten more off, and others eaten less to create a healthy diet. Nuts and seeds should be consumed regularly as they are healthy nutrients and can help you feel fuller for longer because of their high levels of protein.

30g per day of nuts and seeds is recommended to reap the benefits.

Eating them in the morning or before a workout is said to be best for weight loss.

In addition, they are rich in fats and need time to absorb and digest.

Here are the five best nuts for weight loss.

Chia seeds

Chia seeds are said to be among the most nutritious foods on the planet. They contain 12 grams of carbohydrates per ounce, which is pretty high, but 11 of these grams are fibre.

This makes chia seeds a low-carb-friendly food – ideal for anyone following a keto diet – and one of the best sources of fibre in the world.

According to Healthline, the high fibre content in chia seeds allows them to absorb up to 11 to 12 times their weight in water, turning gel-like and expanding in the stomach.

Almonds are considered one of nature’s superfoods for their rich content of protein, antioxidants and heart-healthy fats.

Almonds are a good source of monounsaturated fats, which are said to contribute to the feeling of fullness, and can help curb cravings.

They are also a good source of an amino acid called L-arginine that helps you burn fat.

It’s been said that eating just three to five almonds every day has been associated with greater weight loss and higher fat metabolism.

Due to their rich buttery flavour, pistachios can be addictive.

One pistachio is said to be around three calories, compared to almonds which are roughly 14 calories each, for example.

While 30g of pistachios is recommended, if you are eating other high-calorie foods, consider lowing the number of pistachios consumed.

What’s more, they have been proven to burn fat, according to a study published in the journal Nutrition.

Cashew Nuts

Cashews are a great source of magnesium and magnesium lets your body metabolize fats and carbohydrates, helping you lose weight more easily.

Like other nuts, they also have a good amount of protein to curb your appetite.

Brazil Nuts

Sincerely Nuts suggest “Brazil nuts can kick your metabolism into gear with a variety of different nutrients, like L-arginine, selenium, thiamine and magnesium”, and because of these nutrients, fat can be burned faster.
