Weight loss transformation: Woman lost two stone in eight weeks with this diet plan

With the summer months fast approaching, some Britons will be thinking about losing a few pounds. One woman has recently been through an incredible transformation which saw her shed 1st 12lb. Following a high protein diet plan and exercise helped her slim down.

Ruby Keighley, 27, first tried her improve her fitness after being persuaded to sign up for an exercise class with her friend.

Although the slimmer enjoyed keeping fit, she struggled to lose weight just by going to the classes.

Filling up on unhealthy foods, Ruby continued to pile on the pounds.

After six months of classes, the dieter knew it was time to make a change.

What diet plan did she use?

Tipping the scales at 14st 4lb, Ruby wanted to transform her figure.

After struggling to beat the bulge by herself, she signed up for the F45 eight week challenge.

The challenge combined a healthy diet plan with regular exercise regime.

Within weeks, the slimmer started to notice a change and was motivated to keep going.

Eating foods high in protein can help muscle and stop slimmers filling up on unhealthy treats, according to Elliott Upton, personal trainer at Ultimate Performance.

He told Express.co.uk: “Every body transformation client at Ultimate Performance is advised to eat a good source of protein at every meal. The primary reason is to do with body composition.

“If we are looking to achieve a lean and muscular aesthetic when losing weight, we want to only lose fat but preserve the muscle we have.

“Protein is really satiating. This means it will help you feel full for a lot longer,” he explained.

“This means you don’t get hungry between meals, fall off the wagon and snack on calorie-laden junk foods that will dent your weight loss efforts.”

By the end of the challenge, Ruby had noticed her weight drop from 14st 4lb to 12st 6lb.

She also slimmed down from a size 16 to a much trimmer size 12.
