Chicken Kali Mirch (Pepper Sauce)


Parotta and chicken curry always go along well . This chicken curry is simple and you get that pepper taste to it in every bite .Its creamy and delicious goes well with rice or roti .


  1. 500 gms chicken
  2. 1 big onion
  3. 4 green chillies
  4. 6/7 cashews
  5. 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
  6. 1 TspPepper Powder
  7. 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  8. 1 tsp coriander powder
  9. to taste Salt
  10. 3 tbsp Whisked yogurt
  11. 1/4 Cup Cream
  12. 1 tsp Kasuri methi (dry)
  13. 1/4 cup milk
  14. 1/4 cup water


  1. Step 1 : In a pan add some water add one onion roughly chopped, green chillies and cashews boil till everything become soft and remove from pan and cook down and make a paste.

  2. In a pan add oil or ghee then add chicken and fry for while in some salt and pepper.Then remove and keep aside
    In same pan add some more oil add the onion paste sauté till oil separate and ginger garlic paste sauté well, then add the all dry spices and sauté till oil separate.

  3. Then add the whisked yogurt and cook in low flame till everything gets along. Then add the chicken and cook for while Add milk and water and cook till done according to the consistency you want.

  4. Then add the cream in last and kasuri methi cook for while and garnish with green chilies.
