Cranberry Almond Slaw

After much experimentation with a basic Asian ramen slaw recipe, I finally tweaked and tinkered the original recipe into the “perfect” slaw recipe. It is a cheap healthy side that I make on a weekly basis. Goes great with bbq chicken or burgers!

Ingredients

  1. 1 head green cabbage sliced thinly
  2. 1 cup olive oil
  3. 1/2 cup white vinegar
  4. 1/4 cup turbinado sugar (doesn’t have to be turbinado but that’s what I like to use)
  5. to taste Salt and pepper
  6. About one teaspoon of chicken seasoning (optional)
  7. 3/4 cup sliced almonds
  8. 3/4 cup dried cranberries

Steps

  1. Thinly slice cabbage, set aside

  2. Combine oil, vinegar, sugar, and seasonings and whisk until well combined (make sure sugar is dissolved)

  3. Place cabbage in a large bowl, add dressing, and toss to coat well

  4. Add in almonds and cranberries and mix well. Enjoy!!
