Hot dog sauce

HAPPY July 4th??. I LOVE Chili Cheese and onions on my hotdog ? so I made my own hot dog sauce. This recipe makes alot so just make it and freeze it ❣️❣️❣️

Ingredients

  1. 6 lbs ground beef (I used 70/30)
  2. 2 Large sweet onions
  3. 2 (29 oz) cans of tomato sauce
  4. 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
  5. Half a cup of ketchup
  6. Half a cup of water
  7. 2 Tblsp Oregano
  8. 1 Tblsp Cumin
  9. 2 Tblsp Chili powder
  10. 1 Tblsp Garlic salt
  11. Half tsp Black Pepper
  12. Half tsp Sugar
  13. Half tsp celery salt
  14. 1 Tblsp Garlic powder
  15. Few dashes Worcestershire sauce
  16. Squeeze prepared yellow mustard
  17. Olive oil

Steps

  1. Dice up the onions and saute in a big pot with olive oil on medium high heat then add the ground beef and continue to stir until browned

  2. Drain the grease and put the pot back on the stove then add the cans of tomato sauce, tomato paste, ketchup and water. Keep stirring until well combined

  3. When it comes to a boil add the oregano, cumin, chilli powder, garlic salt, black pepper, sugar, celery salt, and garlic powder. Stir until well combined

  4. Continue to boil for a few minutes then add the Worcestershire sauce and the mustard (a good squeeze but not too much) Then bring it down to a simmer

  5. Simmer 3.5 to 4 hours on very low heat stirring once in a while

  6. After it’s done take off the heat and let it cool and enjoy on your favorite hot dog. Put the rest up in the freezer in plastic containers. Take one out when you need ? ENJOY ????
