Icebox pie


  1. 1 can condensed milk
  2. 2 egg yolks, save egg whites
  3. Juice from 2 swueezed lemons
  4. Vanilla wafers
  5. 1/3 tsp vanilla extract
  6. 3 tbs sugar
  7. Pinch cream of tartar


  1. Mixed together with hand whip: condensed milk, lemon juice, and egg yolk. Crush 15 vanilla wafers. Put in bottom of pie plate. Line sides with whole vanilla wafers. Pour in filling.

  2. Put egg whites in medium bowl with big pint of cream of tartar and 1/3 teaspoon vanilla extract. Beat at high speed with a mixer until it starts to foam. Slowly add 2 to 3 tablespoons of sugar while beating until stiff. Put meringue on top of filling. Bake at 325 degrees until meringue is golden brown
