Korean beef bulgogi

Bulgogi is one of the famous Korean food. In many bulgogi recipes you might find that Asian pears, kiwi, cola, or 7 up needed. But if you use steak meat, these ingredients aren not needed. Because soda, grated Asian pears/kiwi are often used to tenderize the meat.


  1. 400 gr rib eye steak
  2. 1 tsp Brown sugar
  3. 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  4. 1 tbsp Chili paste
  5. 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  6. Black pepper
  7. 1 Garlic
  8. 1 Onion
  9. 1 Spring onion (sliced)
  10. Sesame seeds


  1. Thinly sliced rib eye steak, place it in a bowl

  2. Add brown sugar, soy sauce, chili paste, sesame oil, black pepper, garlic. Mix it well

  3. Heat some oil in a non stick skillet

  4. Place the sliced steak in half part of the skillet, and place the onion in half other part of the skillet

  5. Let it cook until well done, and then mix the sliced rib eye steak with the onion, stir it evenly

  6. Stir in half of the sliced spring onion

  7. Taste it, add some salt if needed

  8. Place it in a bowl, add some spring onion and sesame seeds for garnish
