Kueh Ukun Do (rice kueh)

This recipe is from my late grandma. There is actually no specific name for this,my family named it after my late grandma.we called her Ukun Do mean grandmother in my mother tonque language.Very simply and goes well for evening tea. This is my favorite.i grew up with my grandparents basically I grow with late grandma food. Sometime when I miss her I made this. Simple one not much ingredients may not be healthy.but it’s good once a while.Dont throw your left over rice. Make this when there is much leftover.

Ingredients

  1. 2 tablespoon sugar
  2. Tapioca starch
  3. Rice
  4. Water

Steps

  1. This is portion for two. This is all the ingredients u need.

  2. Mixed it all together.i usually use my own hand to know the texture mixer better,not too soft and not too dry. As you can see in the photo below.

  3. Heat your fry cooking oil and deep fry them.Make it in a ball shape or just roll it with ur hand.Deep fry,don’t over fry until it get too hard. Make sure the fire is not too strong.This doesn’t require long frying,just enough n done when the color change to golden n yellowish.and it is done.Happy try
