Hola, kitchen amigos!
We were at the market shopping for Father’s Day ingredients over the weekend when we saw some nice, fat tomahawks (which of course would have made an amazing Father’s Day meal, but we were still in the thick of moving and not feeling like doing the whole grilling thing just yet).
I think I’d have to prep and grill quite a few tomahawk thickness steaks to get really good at making them a reliable medium rare to rare without gadgets. I’m not there yet, but I’m gonna work on it. 😉
I could also use some work on my baking skills. Quick breads and muffins are easy enough, but I’m still a ways from being able to reliably make a really good scratch cake, leavened breads, and more advanced pastries.
So those are a couple of things I’d like to get better at in the kitchen.
