Sesame chicken

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 kg Chicken breasts (cubed)
  2. 2 tbsp Refined flour
  3. 1/4 tsp Baking powder
  4. 1 cup Chicken stock
  5. 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  6. 2 tbsp Soya sauce
  7. 2 tbsp White vinegar
  8. 1 cup Sugar
  9. 1 tsp Chili sauce
  10. 2 tbsp Dark soya sauce
  11. 1 cup Cornflour
  12. 1 clove Garlic (chopped)
  13. 2 tbsp White sesame seeds
  14. 1 cup Water
  15. 3 tbsp Sesame oil
  16. 1 tsp Oil
  17. Olive oil (for frying)

Steps

  1. Mix baking powder, baking soda, ½ cup water, 1tbsp soya sauce, oil and 1 tbsp sesame oil in flour…coat chicken pieces with batter and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  2. Boil chicken stock with remaining soya sauce, remaining sesame oil, chili sauce, vinegar, sugar and garlic in a saucepan; add cornflour and remaining water; cook stirring continuously until sauce thickens…!!

  3. Heat olive oil in frying pan. Fry chicken golden; remove on absorbent paper…pour sauce and sprinkle sesame seeds on top and serve it
