Spaghetti bolognese

Kinda budget friendly, really rich and tasty.


  1. 200 g mince beef
  2. 1 onion, diced
  3. 1 carrot, diced
  4. 1 garlic clove, chopped
  5. 50 g mushrooms
  6. 1 tin chopped tomatoes
  7. 1 beef stock cube
  8. 1 tsp paprika
  9. 1/2 teaspoon dry basil
  10. 1/2 teaspoon dry oregano
  11. Salt and pepper
  12. Splash Worcestershire sauce
  13. Splash soy sauce
  14. 250 g boiled spaghetti
  15. Some grated cheese


  1. In a frying pan add your onions, garlic, mince and brown. Add the carrots and mushrooms and cook for a further 5 mins on a medium heat.

  2. Add all your herbs, seasoning and spices and the tin of chopped tomatoes and bring to a gentle boil.

  3. Stir every so often and adjust salt to your taste. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and it turns into a rich looking sauce.

  4. Serve on spaghetti or stir into spaghetti before serving. Grate cheese on top.
