Sticky Fried Chicken in Chinese Style

Ingredients

  1. 500 gr chicken tigh/breast fillet
  2. 1/2 onion, slice thick
  3. 1/2 + 1 tbsp margarine
  4. Crispy coating
  5. 1 egg
  6. 5 tbsp flour
  7. 1.5 tbsp corn starch
  8. 1 tsp mushroom powder
  9. 1.5 tsp salt
  10. 1 tsp white pepper
  11. 1 tsp garlic powder
  12. Sauce
  13. 4 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  14. 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  15. 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  16. 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  17. 1 tbsp sugar
  18. 2 tbsp warm water

Steps

  1. Cube/slice the chicken. Marinade with salt, pepper, garlic powder for at least 30 minutes

  2. Whisk the egg

  3. Combine all the flour and mushroom powder

  4. Heat oil to fry. Dip chicken in egg then flour mixture, press lightly so it’s evenly coated. Fry the chicken cube until golden brown, set aside

  5. Heat new pan, add 1/2 tbsp margarine, saute onion until fragrant. Pour the sauce mixture, cook in low heat to boil.

  6. Add 1 tbsp of margarine, cook until melt completely and then add the chicken. Mix well until fully coated. Done
