I have been playing around with this recipe for a while now, and I finally decided to sit down and try to log how I made this sauce. I feel like I have a pretty solid idea down, but I am always open to improvements. This is my first recipe ever, so hopefully you will like it, and I can continue to create, share, and exchange recipes with this awesome community. Thanks!
- 1 Cup Cucumber (About 1 Whole Cucumber)
- 1 Cup Sour Cream
- 1 1/2 Tbl Lemon Juice
- 1 Tbl Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Garlic Salt
- 1/4 Tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 1/2 Tsp Oregano
First, peel the cucumber until all skin is removed. Next, cut the cucumber in half (lengthwise). Then, use a spoon or other utensil to remove the seeds from the cucumber. Then, use a grater to grate the cucumber into shreds onto a cloth or paper towel. Finally, wrap up all of the cucumber shreds into the towel and squeeze as much juice/water out of the cucumber shreds that you can.
Add the cucumber shreds, sour cream, lemon juice, and spices (garlic powder, garlic salt, black pepper, and oregano) into a bowl.
Stir until all ingredients are evenly mixed and incorporated.
Feel free to continue to add ingredients to the sauce until it has the flavor you desire. Then, serve to eat, or store in the fridge and allow it to rest.
