Apple crumble is a great example of comfort food, it\u2019s delicious sweet and has a crunchy topping.<\/p>\n

They can be made in all sorts of ways with blackberries in them as well as adding oats to the top.<\/p>\n

However, sometimes it is nice to keep things simple so I decided to try to find the easiest recipe online and I stumbled across the \u201cbest\u201d apple crumble recipe on BBC Good Food.<\/p>\n

It has more than 400 five-star ratings and uses just four simple ingredients to make a delicious pudding.<\/p>\n

The recipe notes said: \u201cYou can\u2019t beat a traditional apple filling topped with crispy, buttery crumble, classic comfort food at its best.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/b><\/h3>\n

For the filling:<\/b><\/h3>\n

575g Bramley apples, peeled, cored and sliced to one centimetre thick<\/p>\n

Two tbsp golden caster sugar<\/p>\n

For the crumble:<\/b><\/h3>\n

175g plain flour<\/p>\n

110g golden caster sugar<\/p>\n

110g cold butter<\/p>\n

Method:<\/b><\/h3>\n

I started by preheating the oven to 190C, or 170C if you have a fan-assisted oven and preparing my chosen dish.<\/p>\n

I then put the peeled and cored apples into a bowl along with the two tbsp of golden caster sugar.<\/p>\n
