Bake Off: Prue Leith mocks Lee Mack for his terrible blondies
These apple cinnamon blondies with cream cheese are a “must-make” this autumn.
As the weather gets cooler, it is normal to crave comforting spiced foods such as these blondies, tested out by one TikToker.
The TikTok user, Megan Sheley, tried out the recipe and the results looked good.
She told her followers: “The apple cinnamon blondies with maple cream cheese frosting are an absolute must-make this fall.”
This recipe has three key autumn flavors – apple, cinnamon, and maple.
First, she mixed brown sugar and granulated sugar together until well combined.
Megan then added eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition before adding a pinch of salt and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, she then mixed flour, baking powder, and cinnamon with cinnamon spiced apples, stirring until this combined.

She then spread half the blondie batter evenly in an oven tray using a spatula and apple filling all over the layer.
After that, she said to top it with the remaining blondie batter and spread it evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a cake tester comes out clean.
To make the maple cream cheese frosting, first melt butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon over low heat.

Once melted together, take off the heat sift in powdered sugar, and whisk until fully combined. Allow to cool for eight to 10 minutes so the glaze can thicken before pouring it over the blondies.
People were quick to praise the recipe after trying it out themselves.
One person said: “I’ve just made them and omg it’s the best thing I’ve ever baked. Such a good recipe! [sic]”
Another asked what apples they should use in the recipe, to which the TikToker explained that any will do.
